The story describes the relationship between Ravi and his elderly grandfather who suffers from memory difficulties. Ravi’s mother expresses her concern for him and instructs Ravi to look after Grandpa during his school break. Grandpa insists on leaving the house by himself despite the dangerous situation which he creates. Ravi uses a hidden method to protect his grandfather which causes him to encounter multiple awkward situations during his observation of his grandfather’s activities.

Grandpa spends his time outside by eating forbidden foods from their home while he uses his intelligence to outsmart Ravi. Ravi becomes extremely anxious after he loses sight of his brother but he ultimately discovers his brother safe at their house.

The story reveals that Grandpa understood that Ravi was following him throughout the entire time. He gives Ravi a detective book on his birthday to playfully suggest that Ravi needs to develop better detective abilities.
